Just a quick reminder that the CARPA Grand Challenge is still alive a well, and willing to pay $2 million to the winner.
Building a robot that can complete the desert course is proving very difficult. I hope somebody wins this year. Keep an eye out for Robotic vehicles racing across the desert on October 8th.

This guys collects links to all legged robot sites. I don't know what he has against wheeled robots but he does have pretty substantial list of robot related links.

It has happened again, robots are taking jobs from people. Thankfully, the people who lost their jobs in this case are children who were starved so that they would be lighter for racing.
I wonder if the camels feel like they are being chased by robots?

I was recently laid off from a marketing technology company. I know how difficult it can be to deal with a layoff and the prospect of finding a new job. Honestly, it's more than a little scary.
I decided to document my journey from unemployment to employment for a few reasons:
1. Writing things downs helps me to think through problems and focus in on the important bits.
2. The hope that others out there may be able to benefit from my experiences.
3. It keeps me productive.
I hope it helps.
